The Culture of Enterprise programme helps inspire future entrepreneurs in Fife by linking education and industry. Run by Fife Council's Economic Development Team, with the support of local businesses, the programme teaches entrepreneurial skills to young people through a variety of exciting activities aimed at both primary and secondary schools in Fife.

Meet the Business

Meet the Business gives students the chance to watch interviews with businesses and entrepreneurs and other corporate videos. Pupils can learn about Fife businesses and their products and services, as well as the careers available in these businesses and the skills required. Pupils will also hear from entrepreneurs about the lessons they learned during their careers and their journey in business.

4toFortune

Through 4toFortune, students work in teams of 4 to come up with a school enterprise idea and turn a seed fund of £4 into as much money as they can within 4 weeks. Schools can use the profits to support a local cause or as funding for a school project. Schools may also choose to set up a sustainable social enterprise and re-invest their seed money the following year to allow more pupils to take part.

3D printing

3D printers are available to schools to allow P6 and P7 pupils to learn about 3D modelling, design and printing using Tinkercad. Students will get insight into the technology they are likely to encounter in their future workplace. 3D printing can also integrate with school enterprise projects, allowing pupils to create 3D designs to sell in their local communities.
