What does this involve?

VisitScotland has created a step-by-step guide to help you reduce the climate impact of your tourism business.

The guide includes a range of resources, with easy-to-follow actions to help you on your journey to becoming more sustainable. Take a look at the topics and see which are most useful for your business.

Topics include:

  • how to measure your carbon emissions
  • practical advice to reduce your business’s emissions
  • how to adapt your business to unavoidable climate change
  • how to influence customers and suppliers to take positive action
  • communicating your climate actions

If you're not sure where to start, the guide recommends 6 bespoke, quick-start actions to help you reduce your impact over the next 12 months and beyond. The actions are divided between 3 reduction themes: energy, waste management and business transport.
